Almost everybody is aware of global warming and that carbon emissions are a big issue. This is a fascinating article discussing the rising costs of health care, which brings greater clarity into the reasons why we are paying so much as citizens of one of the most developed countries in the world? Are we that ill? Maybe not. Maybe it is just that the solution to high prices, is higher prices until a better alternative comes along. Onion Creek peak flow

I took this video on Oct 31st (around 11:30 am), the morning after our most recent Monsoon deluge. What amazed me was the speed of the creek / flow rate. Near the end of the video (v. short) you can see the width of the river and what it means to see that much water flowing to the Colorado river.
