Dan Barber and The Third Plate

Here is another part of the foundation.  This approach to food gels nicely with those of Allan Savory, Daren Doherty, Joel Salatin, etc.

If you get a chance, read his latest book - The Third Plate.  The story he tells of the large fish farm in Southern Spain says alot.  Produce so much that even the predators look healthy.  The predators never talk all of it, so just plan what you need.  It that particular eco-system, the company that owns the land and the fish do not feed any material to these fish.  0 inputs?  That means we can think about variable costs and outputs in a much different way.
